Spring Hill Students Planting Vegetables

Students at the Cabell County Career Technology Center recently gifted their younger peers with important tools to help make growing fruits and vegetables easier.

The centers Building Technology Program recently constructed and delivered planting tables to Spring Hill Elementary.

The five tables will be used in the school’s high tunnel, a type of greenhouse that allows for a longer growing season.  The Spring Hill students have been growing fruits and vegetables in the high tunnel to be served in the school’s meals.  After they received the tables, the children planted broccoli.

Funding for the planting tables project was provided by a Seeds of Change grant.

The students and staff at Spring Hill Elementary wish to thank their older friends at the Cabell County Career Technology Center for their support.
