Superintendent Ryan Saxe

Cabell County Schools Superintendent, Ryan Saxe, is seeking submissions from students and employees interested in having him follow along with them as they experience a typical school or work day.

As part of his new Superintendent’s Shadowing Program, Mr. Saxe is hoping to gain a new perspective on students’ and teachers’ experiences in our schools.   His goal is to utilize the knowledge he gains to share positive stories with others, and to make any needed improvements to school operations for the benefit of all.

“I am interested in our students’ and employees’ thoughts about the school district and how we might better serve them,” says Superintendent Saxe. “Through shadowing students and teachers I hope to identify opportunities for how we can provide safe and supportive schools where all students can be successful.”

If you would like to have Superintendent Saxe shadow you for a day, please send an email to Jedd Flowers, Director of Communications, at (Submissions will also be accepted by internal Board mail). In your submission, please include:

  • Your name
  • Your school name
  • Your grade level (students) or position (employees)
  • A brief description of yourself, your school district experience, and why you might be a good candidate for the Superintendent’s Shadowing Program (SSP).

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, February 26, 2019.

It is likely the Superintendent will want to document his experiences through social media, so students should have proper permission to be photographed.
