Huntington East High located on 5th Avenue and 29th Street, Huntington, WV, taught grades 10-12.

In 1955-56 school years there were 1,187 students enrolled.

In 1957-58 school years there were 1,205 students.

In 1960-61 there were 1,119 students.

In 1988-89 there were 1,331 students.

In 1989-90 there were 1,287 students.

In 1990-91 there were 1,248 students.

In 1991-92 there were 1,258 students.

The original Huntington East High School building was built in 1939. Additions were added in 1942, 1945, 1952, 1965, 1981, and 1984.

Huntington East High School closed in 1996. Students were transferred to the new Huntington High School.

In 1995-96 school year there were 1,252 students enrolled.
